Is kickboxing a martial art?

That depends on who you ask. If it is Muay Thai Kickboxing it is a definite yes. But some would say no to the other kickboxing. They would say that it is just boxing with a few kicks being used too. Most of those people especially in the early days weren't using good kicks. That is changing. But for my personal opinion based upon the following facts I would say yes it is. Kicks are a part of martial arts. Fact number 2, boxing is a martial art. Therefore kickboxing has to be a martial art.
