The prophet Amos in the Old Testament.?

Amos, like other Old Testament prophets who have books of the Bibles named after them, is speaking to the people of God, Israel. The message of Amos is straightforward: if Israel repents and obey God, they will know God's favor and renewal will be evident in the land. If they continue in their hard-hearted ways, God will will judge them and banish them from the land. Essentially, Amos the prophet is acting like the prosecutor of God and His marriage covenant with God. Amos is calling Israel to greater marital fidelity with God.
