Poll and survey: Does a chicken's life has as much value as a human's life?

I am asking this to see what your opinion is because apparently some vegans think a chicken is just as important as a human being. A human being who has a great amount of intellect, self awareness, emotions, and consciousness is of equal value to the less evolved chicken, who does not have self awareness and is just plain stupid. Ok, that's very logical.
