Worst cramps ever help me please?

last weeks i had sharp pains in my lower pelvic area and last night i was asleep and woke up in the worst pain. i had cramps really bad in my pelvic area and my back. what can this be? could it be starting my period or what? i kinda forgot hwo it fells to have my period sense i did not have it for 9 months. but this is already my 3 period after my daughter my last period had sharp pelvic pains but this just hurt to bad.
