The fastest/quickest way to empty PC of 5000+inbox "Y"mails,PLEASE?

I have an over load of emails, my question is asking if there is away for removing them all at once? I've looked in this book and others no mention of this could I find. On one it said to hold the shift down while running the pointer from the top of check boxes to bottom at their end, allowing deleting of one page at a time I tried over and over again and again.Unsuccesfull, it would not stay on p the first message or two. Yes, i do one by one I am to slow. So,if you have this gift of superior intellect,and you like hoe it feels in showing kindness to others.
