I want to tryout for the high school mascot?

Okay, so originally I wanted to try out for cheerleading cuz I have some experience with that, but I wasn't in town for it :( so i have to wait til next year. Well, now i want to try out for the mascot, and the tryouts are next week. Any tips? What should I expect at the tryouts? I want to prepare, do I choregraph a dance or something?
